How do I dress up my C8 Corvette engine bay?

The core of a finished C8 engine bay is C8RallyDriver's "trifecta": Access Covers (GM Officially Licensed billet covers that replace the factory stamped-steel access covers), RaceLite Hatch Supports (billet replacements for the factory hatch brackets), and O6G-Ultra B-Pillar Covers (one-piece carbon that frames the bay). Add the Billet Oil Dipstick Cover, the carbon Coolant Trim Ring, and a Latch Plate to complete the look.

Do the engine-bay parts fit the Hard Top Convertible (HTC)?

Most billet and carbon engine-bay show parts (Access Covers, RaceLite Hatch Supports, O6G-Ultra B-Pillar Covers, strut covers, coolant ring) fit C8 coupes only. HTC owners get the engine-bay show factor with the HTC Fast Access Covers, which snap on magnetically over the convertible's fluid openings. Several parts also fit the HTC: the Billet Latch Plate, the Z06 Engine Builder Plaque, and the Corvette Flags Billet Oil Dipstick Cover (a GM Officially Licensed Product) all fit both coupe and HTC.

Which C8 models do the engine-bay parts fit?

All C8 coupes: Stingray, Z51, Z06, E-Ray, Grand Sport, Grand Sport X, ZR1, and ZR1X, where covered by that product. HTC owners use the HTC Fast Access Covers, and can also add the Latch Plate, the Z06 Engine Builder Plaque, and the Corvette Flags Billet Oil Dipstick Cover.

Which access covers fit a Z06, Z51, ZR1, E-Ray, Stingray, or Grand Sport?

We offer model-specific engraved Access Covers: Stingray, Z51, Z06, ZR1 and ERay.  The C8.R. and the Corvette Flags are a great option for all model years.  The 70th Anniversary engraved covers are universal fit like all the access covers but specifically released in 2023 for the 70th Anniversary C8 Corvettes. We also offer a factory-painted version with vinyl Corvette logo options. These are all custom parts, not generic. The factory-painted version is actually the most difficult to produce, with multiple layers of primer, paint, and 2K clear coat for a gloss, factory-like finish that matches your car's paint. All Access Covers are GM Officially Licensed Products, a direct bolt-on replacement for the steel factory access covers, and fit 2020+ C8 coupes (HTC owners use the HTC Fast Access Covers).

What's the difference between the vinyl trunk cover and the carbon fiber trunk cover?

They do different jobs. The fabric-lined vinyl trunk cover protects your trunk carpet from water and chemicals during engine-bay detailing and dresses up the bay for shows. It is the original flagship line, with 80+ Corvette logo and design options. The carbon fiber trunk cover is a premium show display piece (pre-preg carbon, V-Weave); it is water-resistant but not a waterproof barrier. C8RallyDriver invented the C8 trunk-cover category in 2021.

Do the trunk and frunk covers fit my C8?

Carbon fiber and vinyl trunk covers fit all C8 models, all years, and all variants (coupe and HTC), with model-specific and universal logo options. Frunk covers (carbon fiber only) fit all C8 models, years, and variants except the ZR1 and ZR1X, with the same lineup of Corvette logo options.

What is the carbon fiber coolant trim ring for?

It fills the oversized coolant hole in the rear engine bay for a clean, finished show look. It is a one-piece pre-preg dry carbon ring with a floating offset design that flexes with the engine: no tape or fasteners, about a 2-minute install. It fits all C8 coupes (not the HTC) and pairs with a billet coolant cap for the cleanest fitment.

Are C8RallyDriver parts GM Officially Licensed?

Many are GM Officially Licensed Products, including the Access Covers, O6G-Ultra billet Strut Covers, Corvette Flags Billet Oil Dipstick Cover, GM-logo carbon trunk and frunk covers, and 80+ vinyl trunk-cover designs.

Where are the parts made, and what's the warranty?

Every C8RallyDriver part is designed and engineered in-house, then finished, assembled, inspected, and packaged in our own U.S. shop. Manufacturing is handled by vetted partners who build our products to an exact spec. Our vinyl C8 trunk covers and carbon fiber rear strut covers are made in the USA. All products are backed by a Lifetime Replacement Warranty (Original Purchaser; limitations apply).

Can I upgrade the fasteners to titanium?

Yes. We offer a variety of titanium fasteners for both our billet and carbon fiber products so you can personalize your build, in colors including Stealth Black, Burnt Blue, Burnt Rainbow and Polished Clear. 

How hard is installation?

Most parts are a direct bolt-on with no modifications, using factory mounting points and included hardware. Typical installs range from about 2 minutes (coolant trim ring, trunk handle) to about 10 to 30 minutes (access covers, latch plate, B-pillar covers). Carbon fiber trunk covers press into the factory rubber seal in minutes, with no tools and no modification. Vinyl trunk covers install by replacing the 16 T15 perimeter screws with snap studs, about a 10 to 15 minute install.

What is the Z06 Engine Builder Plaque?

The Z06 Engine Builder Plaque (available in billet or carbon fiber) is a premium replacement for the GM plastic Performance Build Center plaque. You transfer your factory aluminum name plate onto the new plaque. It fits 2023+ Z06 coupe and HTC (LT6 engine) only.

Do the parts fit the Grand Sport, ZR1, and ZR1X?

Yes, where covered. The engine-bay billet and carbon parts fit all C8 coupes, including Grand Sport, Grand Sport X, ZR1, and ZR1X. The one exception is the carbon frunk cover, which does not fit the ZR1 or ZR1X.
